The CATTLE MOTION ACTIVITY TRACKER will greatly facilitate the monitoring of animals and, if necessary, their search.

The sensor has a built-in GPS receiver, which allows you to track in real time where the animals are. The receiver communicates with the GLONASS and GPS satellites, determines its location and transmits this data to its owner via cellular communication.

Since livestock can graze in areas where mobile communication is often lost (especially in mountainous areas), the measured data is stored in the device’s memory and subsequently transferred to the cloud analytical platform when communication appears.

The device is made in the form of a monolithic shock-resistant body, attached to a standard cattle collar 40 mm wide. This will allow you to use it even in bad weather conditions and not worry about the device breaking down.

Powered by three replaceable lithium batteries. The device is autonomous and has a built-in power source, it does not need to be connected to the electrical network, due to this, the batteries will last up to 2 years, moreover, the device will work far from the benefits of civilization and with a complete power outage.

Fixation of variations in motor activity using the built-in accelerometer

In addition to determining the location, the cattle movement activity sensor can record jumps and measure movement activity using a built-in accelerometer with a frequency of 3 Hz, followed by averaging over a specified time interval from 15 minutes to one hour.

The motion activity sensor is very compact, its dimensions are 125x75x37 mm, and its weight reaches 300 grams. The device is mounted on a standard 40 mm wide cattle collar. Subsequently, you can track the cattle using the platform, which displays all the movements of the animal.

On the basis of the data obtained, it is possible to determine the readiness for insemination of sick animals if the animal’s motor activity has become radically different from others or a lethal outcome can be recorded when the animal’s motor activity has ceased.
