Interactive gaming hardware and software system for entertainment centers
Smart Track

Smart Track is an interactive hardware and software system designed for sports and entertainment attractions. The system automatically tracks players as they reach designated checkpoints, awards points for each checkpoint completed, monitors the time spent on the attraction, and displays individual scores and game statistics on a shared screen. It enables entertainment venues to create engaging interactive experiences while automating player tracking, scoring and performance analysis.
  • Reliable wireless communication between interactive buttons and the operator's software using the MQTT protocol
  • An integrated LED matrix provides visual feedback and indicates game events
  • The device can store information for up to 200 active RFID wristbands
  • A durable, water-resistant housing designed for operation in active entertainment environments

How the system works

Configuration
The device is configured via Bluetooth using a mobile application.
Installation
Interactive buttons are installed throughout the sports attraction to serve as game checkpoints.
Data collection
When a player brings their RFID wristband close to a button, the system registers that the checkpoint has been reached.
Data transmission
The button transmits checkpoint activity data to the attraction operator's software.

Functional Requirements:

  1. The mobile application must support local configuration and adjustment of device operating parameters via Bluetooth.
Click Button Interactive Device
The Click Button devices are designed to be installed at designated checkpoints throughout a sports or entertainment attraction. Each button features a two-color LED matrix that provides visual feedback during gameplay.
_____________________________________________________________________________________
Functional Requirements:

1. Enclosure Requirements (the enclosure must be made of plastic and have a square design with a transparent cover to ensure that the LED indicators are clearly visible to users).
2. Power Supply Requirements (the device must be powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery. The battery capacity must provide at least seven operating days of autonomous use).
3. Charging Requirements (the device must support charging via a USB Type-C connector. A full battery charge must take no longer than eight hours).
4. Wireless Communication Requirements (communication between the interactive button and the attraction operator's software must be established via a Wi-Fi network).

The Click Button supports five operating modes:

Active Mode is enabled through the operator's software while the attraction is running.

In this mode:
  • The device maintains communication with the operator's software.
  • LED indicators are active.
  • The RFID wristband reader is enabled.
FRID-wristband
Before the game begins, each participant receives an RFID wristband from the attraction operator.

When the wristband is brought close to an interactive button, the system registers the checkpoint visit and transmits the corresponding data to the attraction operator's software.

This enables automatic player identification, checkpoint tracking and score calculation.
Attraction Management Software
The attraction management software controls the operation of the interactive hardware and software system. It manages communication with interactive buttons, provides tools for attraction operators, processes gameplay data and displays player results on a public screen.
_____________________________________________________________________________________
Functional requirements:

  1. Communication Protocols — the software must communicate with interactive buttons using the MQTT/TCP-IP/Wi-Fi protocol stack.
  2. Operating System Compatibility — the software must run on Windows 10 or later.
  3. Integrated Database — the software must include a built-in database for storing information about interactive buttons, attraction participants, game configurations, statistics and system settings.
  4. User Interfaces — the software must provide two separate interfaces:
  • Attraction Operator Interface
  • Public Display Interface

The public display must show the following information in real time:

  • Player names
  • Individual player scores
  • Individual player timers (optional)
  • High-score statistics for the entire period of attraction operation or for a specific period selected by the operator

The operator interface must provide the following management tools:

  • The button management screen displays
    • Connection status of each interactive button.
    • Physical location of each button within the attraction.
    • Installed firmware version.
    • Number of points awarded for activating each button.
    • Battery charge level.

The interface must allow the operator to:
    • Edit button information.
    • Add new buttons and remove existing ones.
    • Switch individual buttons or all buttons simultaneously between Active Mode and Sleep Mode.
    • Update button firmware.
    • Activate the Locate function to identify specific buttons.
  • Game management
The game management screen displays available games and their settings.

For each game, the operator can configure:
    • Game duration.
    • Individual or team-based gameplay.

In team-based games, points are awarded to the entire team rather than to individual participants.

The interface must also support selecting the active game, creating new games and deleting existing ones.
  • Player and team management
This screen displays registered players and teams and provides controls for adding or removing them.

When registering a new player, the software sends a command to the RFID reader and prompts the operator to present the player's wristband for scanning.
  • Attraction usage statistics
The statistics screen displays a bar chart showing the number of newly registered players.

The data can be grouped by hour or day, allowing operators to analyze visitor activity throughout the attraction's operating period.
Benefits of the smart track interactive gaming system
Smart Track is a fully wireless interactive hardware and software system designed for sports and entertainment attractions, including rope courses, ninja warrior arenas, laser tag facilities, adventure parks and interactive game zones. The system transforms traditional physical attractions into engaging, technology-driven gaming experiences with automated scoring, real-time leaderboards and comprehensive performance analytics.

Smart Track can help entertainment venues increase revenue by encouraging repeat visits and longer guest engagement while reducing operating costs through automation and minimal equipment maintenance requirements.

  • Scalability and flexibility
New interactive buttons and game scenarios can be added directly through the operator interface, making it easy to expand or modify the attraction.
Buttons can be quickly reconfigured, relocated and identified using the built-in Locate Mode.
    • Key Benefit: Keep gaming experiences fresh and engaging without major additional investment.
  • Increased мisitor уngagement and кevenue
Support for individual and team-based games allows entertainment venues to accommodate more participants and offer a wider range of activities. The system is suitable for birthday parties, corporate events, group activities and team-building programs.
    • Key Benefit: Attract more visitors, encourage repeat bookings and increase revenue opportunities.
  • Automation and reduced staff workload
RFID wristbands enable quick player registration without the need for manual data entry. The system automatically records checkpoint visits, tracks gameplay duration and calculates scores, reducing the need for operator intervention.
    • Key Benefit: Streamline daily operations, reduce administrative workload and improve staff efficiency.
  • Improved attraction safety and operational control
Access Control Mode allows operators to monitor visitor entry and exit. Clear tracking of each participant's time on the attraction helps operators manage visitor flow and reduce the risk of overcrowding.
    • Key Benefit: Improve attraction management, enhance operational control and support a safer visitor experience.
